REVIEW: Dec, 30,2015
The Snowball King board game has been a tremendous hit at our home since its purchase a few weeks ago. I have 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son that spend hour after hour trying to "one up" each other as they climb the mountain. Excellent game for all ages. Adults find the game to be well designed and challenges their strategic thinking as they try to win the game. Definitely a game that I would recommend this winter season for all ages. They even give up their electronic devices to play this game!

ABOUT MY GAMES:
My board games are all created for families by our family. We make each game individually, the board is about 17x17 inches and laser printed. Each of my board games is an original creation with extensive testing. They each have quality professional looking parts and I assemble each one personally. They are all designed to play with mixed ages, so even younger players have a chance to win, when playing with mom and dad or older brothers and sisters. Our kids are now adults, but we still love playing these games together.
INSTRUCTION EXCERPTS FOR - "Snowball King"
SET UP – Up to 6 players can choose a colored “Pawn” and place it on the game board in the grey “Start Area” (Bottom Right). Each player also gets 5 “Snowballs” (White gems) which are kept in front of each player off of the board. The “Ice Ball” (Clear gem) is placed on the #1 Ice Cave and the two blue “Climbing Dice” remain on the board.
(Any extra components go back into the storage bag.)
START – All players begin in the start area. This area is not considered a space (No actions can be taken from here.) The first player rolls both dice and will move their pawn that total number of spaces on the path leading to the top. Rolling doubles grants another roll; continue climbing from where your previous movement stopped.
Should you have enough spaces to reach an Ice Cave you can stop short to enter the cave as a possible shortcut, but any extra spaces will be lost. Avoid the cave spaces as you climb, if you do not want to enter them. When all actions are completed your turn ends.
Next player follows (clockwise) etc. Passing a player will knock them down one level to a space directly below.
SNOWBALLS – One thrown snowball will knock one climber down one level if they are not on a Safe Zone. Snowballs can be thrown over the top of other climbers who may be in line with the intended target.
During your turn, you can throw two snowballs. One can be tossed from the space your turn started on and one from the space your turn ends on. Your single throw from each location can be; Straight Up, Straight Down, as well as Left or Right. (No distance limit; all the way to the top and sideways to the Ice Caves.)
You may “Stop Short” to target a climber directly above or below you, but not beside you. Any unused extra spaces, including doubles will be lost.
Used Snowballs (White gems) are placed on the gray “Start Area”. Climbers cannot throw snowballs from the “Start Area” or when exiting cave #1.
Five snowballs is the maximum any player can carry and can be re-loaded up to the max. limit of five snowballs. Reloading only happens when returning to “Start”.
There is a diagram in the sample pictures above that shows how snowballs are used to target players.
