TEN DEEP is a Pirate themed card game for players from 7 to senior, 2-4 players. The game is housed in a very attractive & durable Wooden Treasure Chest, measuring 4” x 2” x 3 it is made of pine with our own hand applied graphics & embellishments. The games main component is a colorful 56 card deck, which includes treasures, a host of items to bury in numerical order similar to Skip Bo, but the similarity ends there! Think you have a good hand??? not for long as things get crazy when the sailors show up in the "All Hands" cards.
These cards modify what others are holding in their hands. One example would be the; "All Hands Lost" where players each pass their current hand to the player on the left. So you lost a good hand ..to bad, or you got a better hand.. huzza! Another card ,"All Hands On Deck" has all players hands combined and re-dealt. These really keep things lively as players will delight or groan in despair depending on what they are holding when these appear. Any cards not played when the last treasure is buried, count against your total score!
Play begins when a treasure card is put in the center of the table, other players can subsequently add cards to any treasure card laid, in numerical (1-10) sequence one per turn until the treasure is completely covered! The treasure is claimed when a player adds the last card a treasure map. Should more than one person lay claim to the treasure with a map, the ownership is settled with a duel! The goal is to take ownership of the most buried treasure by placing the last card, (a map) on more buried treasure than your crew mates. Matching the map color to the treasure color doubles your score.
The game instructions are printed on an aged parchment scroll wrapped in a gold ringlet, with a bonus excerpt from the log of Captain Lawless, explaining how to properly bury pirated treasure (the cards follow this method). Also included is a riddle to finding the hidden secret within which shows how to recover the booby trapped treasure safely! Dueling dice and a shovel are also included.
