Jewel like elements are set on bright vivid planets on a jet black star filled background and a giant swirling wormhole at the boards center (approx.. 17x17 quad fold board) This sets the stage for futuristic family and friends hijinks. Game includes a decorated parts storage bag, wormhole die, 5 Space Ship pawns, 36 alien technology cards, storage box, rules, and an assortment of colored glass gems which are used as the elements for collection and clear gems for tracking fuel consumption.

Your ships main goal is to collect items to complete the first working "JUMP DRIVE," a machine that will revolutionize interplanetary travel by controlling the unstable wormhole in your sector of space.. Players will use advanced experimental technology ( sample cards shown) collected along the way to slow the progress of the others while protecting themselves. My personal favorite is the "TIME WAVE" which can be used any time even out of turn for your advantage as all other players are frozen in time. One uninhabited planet has a rare element called Mattor which when launched at your opponent will vaporize one of their collected machine elements.

While developing another game "Caverns of Gold" I accidently created a background texture that looked like outer space. I also had wanted a game that 5 players could participate, as my family of 4 often had a guest and 1 person had to sit out!. Jump Drive is the unique family adventure game that resulted from this combination of chance and design. No other games available come close to resembling this style of play.
