Caverns of Gold Board Game is filled with danger, treasure, and unexpected surprises.

Competing treasure hunters collect the legendary gold from the, "Treasure Chamber," deep underground. Once in their possession the treasure must be carried back to their Home Base outside the cave complex. Getting yourself, and the treasure, safely to the surface is the main goal. Based on a real legend, you will need to survive the perils and darkness of the underground caverns, while using your wits to manage tools, treasure, and life threatening situations. Rescue fellow treasure hunters in trouble and find the value in helping others.

This may not be as easy as it seems, since traveling in dark caves is fraught with many dangers! The subterranean passages are filled with venomous, scorpions and snakes, along with thousands of swarming bats. The passages have other dangers such as pitfalls, cave ins, and a good chance of getting lost in the dark. Not everything left in these passages is dangerous, as many useful tools and valuable artifacts can also be found in the mystery filled caverns!

This is a 2-4 player game for families and friends from age 9 to adult has an average play time of about 1 hour. The four paths and the central chamber are on a 17" X 17" ( size varies slightly) quad fold board playing surface with 36 action cards that affect your quest to collect gold from a long lost treasure chamber deep underground. Players each begin with a piece of gold, a flashlight and an agreement to not hinder another's quest!

The pictured "Help"card is a sample of just one situation, this one needing a special tool (dynamite) to free the trapped player. These 6 mini tools are each individually "Hand Made" especially for this game. Each tool is used to save a player or collect a valuable relic. Game includes 25 red translucent hearts (rewards for helping another player), 12 mini gold coin tokens(the lost treasure you are collecting). 4 hand made mini flashlights (safer travel) and 6 artifact tokens (valuable lost items from the past), a single 6 sided die (for walking), 4 treasure hunter avatars, storage bags, instruction booklet, and loads of fun.

Cooperation between players is a part of this game as players soon learn they need to balance helping themselves with helping others. This totally original game took many years and countless hours to complete.


This game is based on 4 actual Historical Legends each slightly different but all based on the same treasure. Stories of a great wealth kept surfacing from century to century in the same area near Menard Texas about a rich treasure. The legends of this treasure began when the Spanish explorers first noticed that local tribes had precious metals as jewelry, later the Monks settled along with a Spanish garrison and the last was an old west cowboy named Jim Bowie.The treasure that created these legends is still actively being searched for, even now!

Each of the four entrances in this game represent one of these legends, each from a different time with variations of the story. Four treasure hunters following four different legends find themselves face to face with the chore of removing this treasure. Alone or together is the choice each must make, in the Caverns of Gold!
